Come to the 7th ZeGeVege Festival!
We invite you to the 7th ZeGeVege Festival – Croatian Veganmania – which will take place on Sept 5-6, 2014 in Zagreb, Croatia! More than 80 exhibitors and 25 performers, many workshops and lectures, a prize game, a raffle and vegan tastings are guarenteed during the interesting and entertaining two-day program. ZeGeVege Festival received support from many institutions and will be visited by the president of Croatia, Mr. Ivo Josipovic, and the mayor of Zagreb, Mr. Milan Bandic. – We invite you to read our statement regarding the massacre of dogs in Donji Andrijevci.
– We again wrote to the authorities regarding the holding of animals in captivity at the improvised ZOO behind the restaurant Macola owned by Zeljko Oreskovic, demanding their immediate action.
– We sent our suggestions and comments about the Draft Decision on the adoption of cross-curricular and interdisciplinary content of the Civic Education in Primary and Secondary Schools to the Ministry of Science, Education and Sports, so that themes related to the protection and animal rights and vegetarianism or veganism are included in the content.
– Split-Dalmatian County broke the Animal Protection Act becuase it did not find shelter for abandoned animals, yet it somehow has money to sponsor shamefull bull fights. We urge you to tell the County what you think about its actions and send emails to: splitsko.dalmatinska.zupanija@dalmacija.hr, zlatko.zevrnja@dalmacija.hr (Split-Dalmatian County Prefect).
