The Croatian Government Passed the Animal Protection Act
After more than 10 years, Croatia has passed the new Animal Protection Act. The proposal of the Act was enacted by the Croatian Government and is now waiting to be adopted by the Croatian Parliament. The new Act prohibits the killing of animals in shelters. During the session, we expressed our support in front of government offices.x

We marked this year’s Days of Open Doors with information stands on Zrinjevac Square and a social gathering that included the projection of the film Peaceable Kingdom with occasional vegan refreshments.x

Pets won’t be included in the price of waste collection
Following our official letter and comments during the public debate on the proposal of the Regulation on Municipal Waste, the Croatian Ministry of Environment and Energy decided to remove a provision that included pets in the price of waste collection.x

Spay/Neuter, Don’t Philosophise!
On the occasion of International Feral Cat Spay Day, veterinary clinics which responded to our appeal castrated up to two street cats at their own cost. Throughout the entire year, in cooperation with veterinarians, we offer the possibility of spaying/neutering dogs and cats at affordable prices or free of charge.x
